Green Village Program

Hello,

Our names are  Lyheang Hught  and Teavyuok To Prum. We are the founders of The Khmer Student Foundation.  We are a non- profit organization dedicated to help improve the lives of the people of Cambodia.  We are a fairly new charity foundation, but have already made a difference in many lives, over the past year.  Our last event, we dug three ponds for the people of KORKKRORL VILLAGE, KORKDONG COM, ANGKORCHUM DIST, SIEM REAP PRO, CAMBODIA.  It is currently being used for hydrating crops and various household chores.  We are now in the process of digging a fourth pond.
The water in the ponds is not safe for drinking just yet.  It will take a few years for the dirt to settle and to raise enough funds to build pumps into the ponds for filtration.  Until then, we would like to raise funds to purchase individual water filters for each of the 136 families living in the KORKKRORL VILLAGE, KORKDONG COM, ANGKORCHUM DIST, SIEM REAP PRO, CAMBODIA.  This event is inspired by a generous man named Daren, who donated $20 to a newborn baby to purchase a water filter for safe drinking water.  Our donors from the US and Daren and his friend from Australia have helped us successfully make it happen.
We have spent $300 for 1,200 meters of pipes, for water to flow through to another village.  The villagers of KORKKRORL VILLAGE, KORKDONG COM, ANGKORCHUM DIST, SIEM REAP PRO, CAMBODIA, were a great help in this process, but it is still incomplete.  We need at least 2,000 meters for it to work correctly.  We will also need to purchase a water storage tank to hold the distributed water.
We are now starting to build Community water filters. They cost $390 each and we would like to have three built in the village. The total cost needed is $1,170. Because of Daren Beazley and his friends and family, we are able to start building the water filters.  Thank you so much to the family and friends for their generous donations listed below:
$1,000 Beazley Family
$ 400 Malcolm Family
$ 400 Canning Family
$ 400 McGree Family
$ 200 Miles Family
$ 100 Rob Chomicz
$ 80 Chad Oneill
While completing these current projects, we are also starting another one as well.  We will be accepting donations to help build community restrooms for the people of KORKKRORL VILLAGE, KORKDONG COM, ANGKORCHUM DIST, SIEM REAP PRO, CAMBODIA.  The cost of the restrooms will approximately be $500 each.  The villagers are excited to starting working on this project so we will start building with the extra budget we have now.  We are hoping to raise enough funds to build five restrooms.
We are currently accepting donations.  Please find it in your hearts to donate to the families of KORKKRORL VILLAGE, KORKDONG COM, ANGKORCHUM DIST, SIEM REAP PRO, CAMBODIA; every amount will make a difference!

Thank you in advance for your contribution.

Sincerely,
Hught Lyheang
